Overview
Surgical Tech in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Start date: 05/25/2026. Duration: 12 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,244-$1,328 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Days with staggered start times between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm; shared call every 4th weekend. Work setting: Inpatient operating room environment within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for procedures and maintain sterile technique throughout cases
- Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon; anticipate instrument needs and maintain instrument counts
- Pass instruments, sponges, and other items as directed by the surgeon; assist with maintaining a clear operative field
- Assist the surgical team under the direct supervision of the surgeon and circulate as needed
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and patient privacy standards
- Assist with documentation and any routine intraoperative duties as assigned

Requirements
- Surgical Technologist diploma required
- CPR certification required
- Certification preferred
- Ability to work in an operating room environment and adapt to a fast-paced surgical setting
- Basic understanding of sterile technique and instrument handling
- Eligible to perform responsibilities consistent with the scope of practice in the operating room
