Job Description

Pink Chair Storytellers Magazine is a unique publication dedicated to sharing first-person stories from women, for women. Our mission is to document her story and ensure that history reflects her experiences and contributions. We believe that a woman's truth fosters empathy, which in turn creates community and connection—something we all deeply need. At Pink Chair Storytellers, readers engage with authentic and uncensored personal essays written by the women themselves, not articles written about them. Our storytellers trust us as a safe space to share openly and honestly, giving readers a genuine and meaningful gift. We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant to support our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our magazine. This role requires someone who is passionate about our mission and skilled at managing a variety of tasks including administrative support, communication, and coordination. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative tasks including scheduling, email correspondence, and calendar management for the editorial team.
  • Coordinate communication between contributors, editors, and external partners to ensure timely submissions and publication milestones.
  • Assist in organizing virtual and in-person meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items.
  • Support the editorial team with research, fact-checking, and formatting of personal essays to maintain publication standards.
  • Maintain and update the magazine’s contact database, tracking contributors, subscribers, and collaborators.
  • Help prepare promotional materials and assist with social media content scheduling to increase community engagement.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful workspace.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar administrative role, preferably within the publishing or nonprofit sectors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Proficiency in managing calendars, emails, and scheduling tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable with basic digital marketing tools and social media platforms to support promotional efforts.
  • Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information and personal stories shared within the community.
  • Passion for women's stories, empowerment, and fostering community through authentic storytelling.
