Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks experience to manage day-to-day financial operations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting job costing, and ensuring the financial health of the company.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
• Assist with job costing and tracking project expenses
• Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process invoices and track payments from customers
• Support payroll processing and coordination (if applicable)
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
• Assist with budgeting and financial tracking as needed
• Work with management to provide timely and accurate financial insights

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper , preferably in construction or a related industry
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with job costing, project-based accounting, or construction accounting (preferred)
• Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity
• Dependable and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, steel, or concrete industry
• Familiarity with payroll processing and sales tax reporting
• Knowledge of Texas business and tax practices
