Position Overview

Alpha Locksmith & Security is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with 45 years of experience to manage day-to-day financial operations. This role will oversee accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger maintenance and support basic administrative functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) :
• Enter and process vendor bills
• Schedule and track payments
• Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) :
• Generate invoices
• Track outstanding balances and follow up on collections
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close

QuickBooks Management

• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
• Ensure proper job costing and expense categorization
• Generate financial reports:
• Profit & Loss
• Balance Sheet
• Cash Flow

Administrative Support

• Support office operations (filing documentation vendor coordination)
• Assist with payroll data preparation (if applicable)
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation

QualificationsRequired

• 45 years bookkeeping experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
• Experience with A/P A/R and general ledger
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience in construction security or service-based businesses
• Understanding of job costing
• Familiarity with payroll systems

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $55000 $72000 (based on experience)
• Performance-based bonuses

Success Metrics (KPIs)

• Monthly books closed by deadline
• A/R aging kept under control (collections efficiency)
• Accuracy of financial reports
• Clean audit trail (minimal corrections)

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
